This is Shaun, a 1998 Cooper MPI

Shaun has been restored during 18month to a very high standard.

After a full strip of the car, a lot of paint and rust have been removed from the original 1998 British Racing green Mini Cooper.

Both inner and outer sills, left lower door surround and the lower windowframe have been replaced and some small holes in the bootfloor and the fenders have been welded.

Overall, the panels which must have been changed were very limited for a MPI Mini, which was a bit surprising.

A rust issue was found under the OEM paintwork of the full frontend, in the rear wheel houses and on some other smaller corners.

After a good clean with steel brush and sandblast equipment, the body was prepared for professional paint built up.

The paint sheme was chosen by Bianca so that Shaun became Charcoal BLMC1207 colored. For contrast, the roof, the stripes and the wheels were painted in Mercedes grey metallic.

Shaun is equipped with an electric Webasto sunroof and the original black leather Cooper interior.  Excepting the color swap, he is in an original specification which makes a comfortable ride possible (not unimportant for a lady driver :-)).
